Debs Boutique is closing.
Deb opened her doors in 1979, and she has been the OG of Sorrento fashion ever since. Today Debs is the longest-standing business on the main street. She has dressed many a bride, many a mother of the bride, singers on stage, and even a real-life Indian princess. The places this tiny business has taken her (and us), have been phenomenal.
But it's time to go. The end of a legacy. An era.
Deb has been like a therapist to many on a retail therapy spree. People going through new love and new families, life-changing medical procedures, divorce and everything in between. Not long ago, our very first customer passed away, and she was still shopping with us. Her kids and grandkids still do. Debs has been coined a cult favourite, and has been known as the worst kept secret for pieces so exclusive they are the only ones in Australia.
As we've started saying goodbye to our regulars, the emotion and gratitude have been at an all-time high. Who says community spirit isn't thriving anymore? What Deb has built over these years is a testament to who she is, and I feel incredibly lucky to have had a front-row seat to it all.
It's a big moment to wave Debs Boutique goodbye. Not just for us, but for you too.
