THE NEW FROM ULLA JOHNSON - PRE FALL 2022
For the new collection, Ulla Johnson was inspired by Georgia O'Keeffe's paintings of "The Faraway". These works of art are noted for its juxtaposition of bones and landscapes, and it reflects how the New Mexico desert made O'Keefe feel. Ulla Johnson was so inspired by Georgia O'Keeffe's work that she shot her Pre-Fall Collection at Ghost Ranch, the place where the artist lived when she painted the paintings.
The palette for the season expands past the opening notes of striking pale ecru, graphic noir, and bright peony to encompass a range of colours that pay homage to the land and sea - rich vermillion, coral, shades of sky and water blue, sand, shell, ochre, and gold.
A collection built on discovery, on objects and moments found and kept, presenting ethereal dresses with ruffles that will make you feel like a fairy, a variety of blouses for you to pick the right for your outfit, and big earrings made of recycled brass that can be the star of your jewellery collection.
