PIERRE-LOUIS MASCIA "RAN" FALL WINTER COLLECTION 22
COLLECTION´S NAME MEANING
According to Pierre-Louis Mascia, “ran” can be translated as “chaos”, but also “battle”, and leads us to reflect on our time.
ABOUT THE COLLECTION
Pierre-Louis Mascia Fall Winter Collection is designed with the juxtaposition of different patterns in earth colours such as brown, ocra, orange, and forest green. Tartan and flowers, regimental stripes, and cashmere blend and alternate with surprising harmony. In this ordered chaos that our societies, and our lives, have become, the founder´s concern is to keep creation free, generous, extravagant, and unpredictable.
PIERRE-LOUIS MASCIA INSPIRATION FOR HIS FALL WINTER 22 COLLECTION
It pays homage to Akira Kurosawa's film "Ran". The image of Medieval Japan, with the advent of Bushido, the code of honour of the Samurai, that speaks of Honesty, Honour, Heroism, Courtesy, Sincerity and Loyalty, resonates today in a world that is experiencing a crisis of its values.

“Our battle is for the survival of beauty, a certain ethic where respect compels us but does not constrain us”, Pierre-Louis Mascia.
With this collection, Pierre-Louis embarks on a pop epic, revisiting the intangibles: from Serge Lutens to Tamara de Lempicka via the UK of the 80s, Japan, and the Navajos.
